While we are still on the subject of convertible fashion, here's something cool for you to view. Dutch vehicle Taga is a brand new concept that allows users to convert the bicycle into a kid's stroller. Pretty neat idea, isn't it. Catch the video to see more.

Design 5: Colourful Bubble Wrap - Will you buy this?

This bubble dress comes in 4 layers of different colours, so by alternating the top colours of the dress, different looks can be created. Now that's a real bubble of joy!

Please take some time to answer the polls, and leave us comments so that we can improve on our designs. Gawky, creative, complicated or totally unwearable? Tell us!!

*To prevent confusion, there are multiple colours and patterns available for the skirting portion of the dress, and when you purchase the dress, you get to pick 4 of your favourites from the selection. This will give you the 4 different looks, as intended by the designer of this dress.

Would you pay $50 for the bubble wrap dress (that includes 4 colours), assuming it has a good fit?
Yes No

Design 4: The Little Riding Hood - Will you buy this?

It's a sleeveless thin jacket to suit the local sweltering heat, but of course this doesn't end here (well it has to fit into our theme, no matter what)! The interesting twist lies in the hood, which is actually attached to the jacket by a zip. This allows the wearer to change the pattern and colour of the hood easily, or even just remove the entire thing to make a really cool outer piece!

Each jacket comes with 3 hoods for variety, with different designs in the store to choose from.

Design 3: That Blue Dress - Will you buy this?

This is a really interesting design of ours. The effect, in actuality is not very obvious, which is why a side-by-side image is required. Basically, the top of the dress was designed delibrately with extra folds of cloth, which can be either pulled or lowered to adjust for the neckline. So perhaps at times you feel extra sexy and confident, or at times you just want to cover up your insecurities; now you can do something about this!

The blue dress is also available in black, luscious red, sunshine yellow and olive green.

Design 2: Reversible Lady's Tank - Will you buy this?

This is a very basic design, yet capable of 2 different looks. Simply turn the white tanktop inside out and you get a black tanktop instead! The tanktop is available in multiple colours (baby pink+baby blue, yellow+green, red+white, brown+orange etc) so you can always find a colour to suit your mood of the day!

Behind the scenes

Zav was smart to capture some behind-the-scene footages with his IPhone, which allowed us to share with readers how we managed to capture the fantastic model shots with the humble, all-handy Sony a300. Enjoy guys!

Isn't it amazing how such a place still exists in Singapore? As can be seen, we were very very worried about the weather, which looked like it was to rain anytime.

The models were in unbelievably high heels, which made them 'appear taller'. I am not short!

I highly doubt we were supposed to enter the jetty. Perhaps it was the beauty of the models that allowed us to gain some unexpected access. In any case, job well done!

'Virgin' Photoshoot

Our first photoshoot since The Presentation is finally over!

The photoshoot took place yesterday afternoon in Punggol. Yes, desolate Punggol, a place of construction, shrubery and nothingness. Which in some way really fitted into our theme of the day - natural beauty.

Zav had been real nice to drive us around for good photospots the entire afternoon. And many thanks for our models Kim, Nurul and Ayumi, who were game enough to try out all sorts of poses even though they were all hot and tired, and nice enough to do the photoshoot for free. The entire team owes you guys for this!

2 locations were chosen for the photoshoot - Punggol Lalang field and Marina Yacht Club. These 2 places were amazing on their own, especially for first-timers like us who have never been there before. It almost felt like we were on an overseas assignment.

And I really have to mention the weather. It had been threatening to rain for the entire day, but the sun held out for us all the way till we shot the last photo on the jetty. Just as we wrapped up the shoot, it rained like it hadn't for months! Isn't that a coincidence or what?

Anyway, here's some leaked pictures exclusively for the shoot, untouched and unedited. Watch out for this space for the catalogue coming up, to find out where and how you can get these amazing clothes from The Convert.

The Beginning

Every story has a beginning. And our story begins in the lecture theatre of NUS Business School.

Finally the team's hard work has been paid off. After 20 minutes of presenting our ideas to the group, our concept of "The Convert" has been greenlighted to start on the second phase of pre-operations.

Good work to everyone in the team - Kim, Siew Chien, Zav, Devi, Hillary and me of course, who have tolled over night and day to collect bits and pieces of information for the First Presentation (aka mini-judgement day)!

For those who are still clueless, I am talking out the lastest fashion concept - The Convert - which will soon hit Singapore in the second-half of 2010.

The Convert is a new fashion concept, where all the clothes we stock are made to be worn in more than one way. In essence, clothes from The Convert are tools for your creativity. Wear our clothes any way you want, and achieve the look you truly desire.

To sum it up in a few words - Define your clothes, not the other way round.

Continue to visit our blog for the latest updates of The Convert, to find out how and where you can get to buy our clothes!
